What’s important in literacy in Geography?

Students need to be able to

• interpret and analyse geographical information, concepts and ideas from a range of sources
• communicate geographical information to a range of audiences
  explain geographical processes
• plan a geographical inquiry: collect and evaluate information, analyse and interpret data, reach conclusions based on evidence, communicate findings, reflect on the conduct of the inquiry and respond to what has been learnt
• comprehend and compose graphical and visual texts (e.g. maps, diagrams, photographs and images).
